Case Studies

EP&T Global have an unrivalled track record of delivery, working in multiple sectors to unlock our clients cost savings and sustainability goals. A selection of our achievements are provided below:

  York House

EP&T Global began its partnership with British Land with a pilot project at their Head Office, York House in September 2009. Due to the pilot’s success, our systems are now applied to ten of their office buildings,  one shopping centre and six developments.

Our monitoring systems were placed to collect gas, electricity and water data which were integrated to existing metering systems. The EDGE MARS tool was also integrated to identify significant operational issues where our analysts worked with British Land’s site management team to prioritise and implement solutions. To date, we have saved 44% in energy, as well as £136,000 and over 1,150 tonnes of carbon emissions.

  MediaCityUK

Following a successful tender process, EP&T Global will assist the BBC, one of the world’s largest media broadcasters, to reduce their energy use.

The project will involve an initial pilot at MediaCityUK, the broadcaster’s new home in Salford, Manchester. Upon successful completion, the project can potentially encompass other key sites around the UK including London and Glasgow (home to BBC Scotland).

EP&T Global’s dynamic monitoring and optimisation process will be used to help unlock savings.

  Exchange House

Our EDGE Intelligent System was installed at 12 Exchange Square (Exchange House) in September 2010. The objectives of our project are to:

  • Provide a remote monitoring service to deliver landlord controlled energy savings
  • Provide tenant data to improve stakeholder engagement and drive further savings
  • Improve financial and operational reporting precision
  • Deliver guaranteed savings in landlord services of 10.5%

To date, we have saved 28% in base building energy consumption, equating to 1.7million kWh. In terms of water, we have helped to save up to 12.9 million litres of water – enough to fill five Olympic swimming pools.

  Eastgate Shopping Centre

Shopping centres have a dynamic environment with intensive energy use from shoppers, retail tenants to landlord-controlled areas such as lifts, escalators and lighting. Even in these complex areas, our EDGE technologies can help interpret and prioritise live consumption data to unlock savings opportunities.

Since 2010, we have helped Eastgate Shopping Centre to 936 tonnes of carbon emissions and £114,000.
