British Land wins CIBSE’s 2017 Test of Time Award

EP&T would like to congratulate it’s long standing client British Land on their success at the recent CIBSE Building Performance Awards 2017. The Test of Time award recognises their long term commitment to sustainability by looking back at previous winners and assessing whether they have continued to deliver similar or improved levels of performance in use.

In 2012, British Land had slashed like-for-like landlord energy use by 15% compared with 2009, saving occupiers £900,000. Four years on in 2016, they have continued on this trajectory and seen an incredible 45% reduction in like-for-like landlord energy use against 2009, saving occupiers £11m and cutting carbon by 29,270 tonnes.

 

This is an excellent achievement for British Land and EP&T is proud to be a part of their journey.
Judges commented, “British Land shows exemplary and sustained commitment to measuring and managing energy performance and carbon emissions. It has achieved impressive results and is still targeting substantial reductions."
